EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

“Your way of educating gives us a sense of greater purpose outside of ourselves: you
have discussed with us rather than talking “at” us the idea behind the power of art
and how it can connect and challenge ideas for positive change.
It inspire us to get
more involved in our own community, reminding us that we can do our part with
patience and selflessness to change what we believe is wrong.

TRAIN THE TRAINERS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

We consult and advise on training for peacebuilding and conflict transformation through the humanities, first-hand narratives and the language of the arts. We offer pedagogical support and personalized training for educators, policy-makers, trainers and activists.

Edu-actors’ ability to interactively use art, oral history, language and technology in thoughtful and engaging ways holds great promise. The topics addressed are important, urgent and vital issues, and they are not well met by traditional approaches.”

EDUCATIONAL CONTENT DESIGN

Edu-actors provides conceptual guidance and creation of educational modules, didactic materials, and teacher guides for primary, secondary and higher education, non-formal and community education, and capacity-building for educational, political and social institutions, and community-based organizations and NGOs.

We have designed objectives, pre-assignments, interactive sessions and assessments of the educational materials to engage students and teachers alike in learning from personal and collective real-life experiences, while developing a critical stance based on what they have sensed, felt, and discovered during the lessons.

Edu-actors’ methodologies focus on creating empathy (instead of resignation or anger), encouraging students and educators to become peace-builders in their own community, during these times of political unrest, economic uncertainty and health care crisis.”

GLOBAL EDUCATIONAL AND PEDAGOGICAL CONSULTANCY

We accompany peacebuilders through education in local contexts, in formal and non-formal educational settings, engaging in a deliberate and respectful dialogue with each specific cultural paradigm we interact with.

Edu-actors’ methodologies generate educational approaches that enhance a humanistic pedagogy which links theoretical and empirical experience, by placing emphasis on the local context in an interconnected world, in which Peace and Conflict transformation can occur.”

INTERPERSONAL AND INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUE FACILITATION AND EDUCATIONAL COACHING

We bring pedagogical expertise to the “difficult dialogues” that take place within us, with our neighbors, and between organizations and communities. We facilitate educational tools that enhance a communication that we envision as essential to generate harmony in these three levels, and that allows access to an expansive and inclusive creativity, critical in any educational experience of personal and systemic transformation.

“I find the pedagogical approach provided by Edu-actors methodology to be very moving, revelatory as well as illustrative of engagement through dialogue and how this facilitates healing on the intrapersonal, interpersonal and social levels.”
